GENUINE and ORIGINAL MERCEDES BENZ CARLSSON EVO II 190E 2.3L 16 Valves.
Mercedes Benz has a long history in luxury and racing. In the mid 80's, the German brand came up with the model
190E 2.3L 16 Valves and just few thousand were made worldwide. Much less were imported in the US back then.
Between 1984–1988, the MERCEDES BENZ built 19487 190E 2.3-16 / W201 worldwide.
It was a production made to compete in the German "Grand Tourisme" Grand Prix known as DTM. Along with Mercedes
Benz, other manufacture entered the race like BMW with the modified M3, FORD with the Sierra RS 500.
Today, these cars are well sought and appreciated from collectors around the world. Their value keep increasing due
to the rarity.
When producing the 190E 2.3L 16 Valves, Mercedes Benz launched the EVO II, a rare breed for racing.
Some builders in Europe took advantage of the name and performances of the car and add their personal touch.
One name in particular is CARLSSON. Others follow such as Ludwig, Danielson.
CARLSSON added a kit EVO II Rieger with huge rear wing, front and rear bumper, front skirt below the bumper, rims,
disc brakes, brake calipers, mirrors, custom steering wheel and more.
A total of less than 100 Mercedes Benz CARLSSON 190E 2.3L 16V were built.
I am the second owner and drove the car to some shows in Europe and was shown as "Le Castellet" and "Nogaro" Race
Track, both known within European and World Championship.
